Job Summary

Cheney Brothers is looking for hard-working, motivated individuals to join our yard team.

Job Responsibilities/Requirements

• Work with yard manager to oversee staff responsible for moving trailers to bay doors for loading in accordance with routing directives.
• Assist with vehicle temperature monitoring and maintenance coordination to ensure safe and functional equipment.
• Coordinate with other supervisors to ensure the daily availability of tractor/trailer inventory.
• Create and manage staff schedules aligned with business needs.
• Requires at least 1 year of CDL experience with a favorable driving record.
• Requires computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Requires excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
• Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions.
• Prior yard/transportation management experience preferred.
• Other duties as assigned.
