Job Summary

Cheney Brothers is looking for hard-working, motivated individuals to join our accounting team.

Job Responsibilities/Requirements

• Approve preauthorized leases and monthly mileage.
• Validate and approve vendor repays.
• Review and manage daily AP volumes.
• Vendor communication.
• Complete vendor applications and other tax forms.
• Respond to audit requests, reviews, and research.
• Research/process stop payment checks and returned checks.
• Responsible for AP vendor master data.
• Review and research AP aging.
• Research outstanding check register.
• Vendor credit/statement semi-annual letters.
• Present travel policies and procedures during sales training.
• FedEx shipping administrator.
• Schedule and conduct monthly AP meetings.
• Maintain employee schedules, and monitor timesheets.
• Write AP instructions.
• Participate in evaluations.
• Train new hires.
• Backup for accounting departments.
• Requires high school diploma.
• Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must have at least 5 years of AP experience.
• Must be able to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Requires strong customer service and communication skills.
• Prefer 3 years of prior experience leading or supervising.
• SAP and Vendor Invoice Management is preferred.
• Other duties as assigned.
