Job Summary

Cheney Brothers is looking for hard-working, motivated individuals to join our operations team.

Job Responsibilities/Requirements

• Responsible for the management of warehouse operations, both inbound and outbound, and transportation.
• Accountable to drive safety and compliance and demonstrate fiscal responsibility with a strong working knowledge of the P&L.
• Capable of achieving goals that drive profitability in the areas of productivity, labor spending, inventory management, and building maintenance.
• Strong people leader that values culture and a team-driven approach to problem solving.
• Ability to communicate up effectively and across all levels of the organization.
• Supervise and support all operational departments in the areas of performance monitoring and management, training and development, problem resolution, and employee engagement.
• Develop, maintain and/or improve operational strategies and processes that drive efficiency and reduce waste.
• Respond to both internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver quality and support sales growth.
• Cultivate future leaders with effective coaching and intentional growth opportunities.
• Rely on experience and industry knowledge to lead a proactive team that adjusts quickly to challenges and actively works to prevent them.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Requires WMS experience (SAP preferred), AS400, Pedigree or equivalent fleet management system.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
• Bachelor’s in Business Management, Operations or related area preferred.
• Requires a minimum of 6-10 years in Foodservice operations or related area with supervisory experience.
